mining claim totaling 20 acres on the Little North Fork Of The Middle Fork Of The Feather River in Plumas County, California 18 miles east of Paradise in a nice secluded & accessible location.
The
North Fork Placer
is a unique claim and located just a few miles east of the Historic Mining District of Merrimac directly in the Mother Lode Gold Belt.
This
area is well known for having extremely rich placer deposits and nice gold quartz specimens. With over a 1/4 mile of river frontage and massive horseshoe bends, gold will be abundant on this claim. Most of the gold in this region is derived from many numerous high grade quartz veins and several patches of auriferous tertiary gravel deposits of the Feather River that have been eroding and weathering into The Little North Fork Of The Middle Fork Of The Feather River for millions of years. While sampling the claim we found some great gold in several locations on bedrock and along the gravel bars. Also found on this claim is a wonderful camp area directly along side of The Little North Fork. Access is easily achieved from Forest Service Road 60 off paved Oroville Quincy Highway. This claim is accessible by two and four wheel drive vehicles, even rv's & travel trailers. Claim attributes include a rich gold bearing year round stream, great dirt road access, seclusion & privacy, unbelievable gold, exposed bedrock, tons of gold bearing quartz float, good fishing, tailing piles and beautiful scenery. The Little North Fork Of The Middle Fork Of The Feather River provides ample year round water to support 3 inch high bankers or bigger and 6 inch dredges when legally allowed

Driving Directions
From Oroville, California get off on Oroville Dam Blvd. Stay on Oroville Dam Blvd for approx. 1.6 miles and turn right on the Olive Highway AKA State Route 162. Continue down the Olive Highway or 162 for approx 29 miles and turn right on Forest Service Road 60. Stay on Forest Route 60 for approx. 7.25 miles or until reaching the large pull out and location monument. From the campsite the claim runs 1/4 upstream and 3/4 of a mile downstream. This campsite is plenty large enough for large rv's and travel trailers and is in a wonderful location along the river's edge. There are also several other nice camp areas on this spectacular claim.
